L.A Clippers – New Orleans Pelicans 21h30

The New Orleans Pelicans (11-24) make their way to Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon to face the hottest team in the NBA in the Clippers (24-13).

The Pelicans have lost four of their last five game heading into Sunday's contest, their latest defeat coming at home on Friday at the hands of the Indiana Pacers, 91-86. Tyreke Evans emerged as the leading scorer in the contest with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists while shooting 10 of 19 from the paint. Ryan Anderson came off the bench for 21 points and 6 rebounds while making 4 of 10 triples. New Orleans have only won four games away from home in their 2015-16 campaign and sit at dead last in the Southwest Division. Anthony Davis suffered a back contusion in Friday night's contest when diving into the stands on a defensive play and is listed as questionable to start in the Pelicans' trip to Staples Center.

The Clippers extended their winning streak to eight games with a home win over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday, 97-83, and are enjoying a comfortable fourth place spot in the Western Conference. Chris Paul led L.A. with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists while Jamal Crawford played off the bench for 19 points while shooting 9 of 20 from the field. The team maintains the fifth-most potent offense in the league, averaging 103.8 points per game. Blake Griffin (knee) is slated to return to the starting lineup in the middle of the month and his teammates have been quick to pick up the slack in his absence. DeAndre Jordan posted a monster 19 boards on Saturday, adding to his 13.4 rebound per game average this season, second only to league leader Andre Drummond.

Les Pélicans viennent de perdre Davis cause de blessure , une équipe qui cette année n'arrive vraiment pas a décoller, les clippers assure à la maison même en Back-to-Back.

Minnesota Timberwolves – Dallas Mavericks 21h30

The Dallas Mavericks (21-16) visit the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves (12-25) on Sunday evening.

Dallas was closely edged in Milwaukee on Friday night 96-95 to fall to .500 on the road. Dirk Nowitzki was the top producer for the Mavs, posting 20 points and 9 rebounds while making four shots from beyond the arc. Zaza Pachulia also came just shy of recording a double-double by hauling in 15 boards and putting up 9 points. The team is averaging 28.3 three-point attempts per game this season, fourth-most in the NBA, a stat they improved upon in this game as they tried for 44. The Mavericks are staring down the barrel of a huge week of competition after Saturday’s trip to Minneapolis, as they take on the Cavaliers, Thunder, Bulls and Spurs in their next four games. Three of those contests will take place away from American Airlines Center.

Things are not looking promising in the immediate future for the Timberwolves. Long term, the unit looks to be one of the most dynamic starting five in the league, but for the time being fans in Minnesota can't be pleased with the fact that the team has won only one game in their last ten outings. Their latest loss came at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night, where they were routed, 125-99. Despite the loss, Andrew Wiggins had a huge night with 35 points on 12-for-19 shooting from the field. Rookie Karl-Anthony Towns and Shabazz Muhammad has 22 points apiece in a match-up that saw Minnesota outclassed on every level. Things may be about to get worse for the young club as they play the high-octane Oklahoma City Thunder twice next week, with a trip to Houston in the middle.

Dallas devrait logiquement s'imposer sans trop de mal ce soir , avec des loups pas très a l'aise a domicile.

Dallas gagne @ 1.50

Philadelphie 76ers – Cleveland Cavaliers 0h

he best team in the East meets the worst team in the league on Sunday night when the Cleveland Cavaliers (25-9) visit the Philadelphia 76ers (4-34).

The Cavaliers have emerged victorious in six straight games, including a road destruction of the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, 125-99, to improve their away record (one of their few weaknesses this season) to 10-8. With 27 points on the night, notoriously streaky shooter J.R. Smith led the team in scoring, going 10-for-12 from the paint and draining 5 of 6 three point attempts. Iman Shumpert had 23 points off the bench and three triples of his own while LeBron James had a rather quiet scoring night with only 13 points but still came a hair shy of a triple-double, adding 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Cleveland remain far and away the best team in the East, sitting at first place in conference 3.5 games ahead of the Chicago Bulls, who have also been surging as of late. The team maintains the third best defense in the league, allowing opponents to score an average of 95.4 points per game.

That does not bode well for the 76ers, who have the worst offense (and record) in the NBA, putting up only 93.1 points per contest. Despite somewhat of a turnaround to kick off 2016, Philadelphia was beaten by the visiting Toronto Raptors on Saturday, 108-95. In spite of shooting an impressive 64.7% from long range (with 8 of their 11 three pointers coming off the bench), the Sixers still can’t seem to get it together to emerge from the East’s cellar. One of the few bright spots for the team since arriving in December, Ish Smith led in scoring with 28 points, adding 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Jahlil Okafor continues to demonstrate consistency as a rookie, posting 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Okafor is the leading scorer for the team this season, averaging 17.3 points per match-up.

Pas la peine de dire grand chose Cleveland va faire le boulot. J'aime pas trop l'handicap mais prenable quand même

Cleveland H-15@ 1.70

Memphis Grizzlies – Boston Celtics 0h

The Boston Celtics (19-17) will face the Memphis Grizzlies (20-18) in the FedExForum in Memphis on Sunday.

The Celtics will look to end a two-game losing streak when they travel to Memphis. Back up shooting guard Avery Bradley is technically a game-time decision for the tilt due to a hip injury that has sidelined him since Monday, but said himself that he will return to action on Sunday. Jae Crowder led the team in scoring in Thursday's game against the Bulls. Crowder totaled 25 points, six rebounds, and three steals in 35 minutes of play.

The Grizzlies will likely be without starting point guard Mike Conley, who has missed the past two games due to a sore Achilles tendon. Their starting shooting gurad Courtney Lee is also doubtful with a hip injury, leaving the Memphis backcourt likely in the hands of Mario Chalmers and Tony Allen. Memphis has had a different high scorer in each of their past four games, with the latest being Zach Randolph with 24 points during Friday's game over the Nuggets. They will look to build momentum on Sunday after enjoying a day of rest on Saturday.

Houston Rockets – Indiana Pacers 1h

The Indiana Pacers (21-15) will face the Houston Rockets (18-19) at the Toyota Center in Houston on Sunday.

The Pacers are led by Paul George, who just a week ago posted three consecutive above 30 point games. Since this, he has cooled off a bit the past couple games, while Ian Mahinmi heated up, and scored a team-high 17 points and 10 rebounds during Friday's game against the Pelicans. The Pacers have now won two of their last three away games. Also of note, this is their fourth away game in a row, and it is their last before finally heading back to Indiana to play.

The Rockets have caught the injury bug as of late, and may be without starting big man Dwight Howard, who is struggling with back soreness. Out for sure is Ty Lawson, who has an ankle injury while also serving a three-game suspension, along with reserve forward Donatas Motiejunas with back issues. Howard is the only consistent starter of the three, and if he is not able to play, it is likely that Clint Capela will assume most of his minutes. Jason Terry will likely see an increased role in minutes in Lawson's spot. The Rockets will likely be led by the offensive efforts of starting shooting guard James Harden. Harden is averaging 28.3 points, 6.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game in the 2015-16 season.

Encore un match qui s'annonce super serrer !  Dwight Howard est suspendu coté Rockets il reste pour moi une équipe très irrégulière capable de pire comme du meilleure

New York Knicks – Milwaukee Bucks 1h30

The Milwaukee Bucks (15-23) will face the New York Knicks (18-20) at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday.

The Bucks will likely continue to play without starting point guard Jerryd Bayless, who re-injured his ankle that kept him out for an 11 game stretch in December. Michael Carter-Williams has been picking up the slack left by his absence, averaging 14.3 points, 8.2 assists, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks in his last six games. Milwaukee has won just five away games this season, but will look to build on their Friday win over the Mavericks when they travel to New York City.

The Knicks were led by rookie Kristaps Porzingis on Friday, who seems to be hitting his stride. The seven-footer scored a team-high 28 points against the Spurs. Although the outcome was not favorable for his team, it was encouraging to see the youngster lead his team. Carmelo Anthony is the team's most consistent high scorer with 21.6 points per game this season. They will have to keep up their offensive flow in order to successfully compete, as it is seen in their wins this season New York is averaging 106.1 points, but in losses they are averaging just 91 points.

Qui aurait cru l'année dernière voir New-York dans une telle dynamique ?

Denver Nuggets – Charlotte Hornets 2h

The Charlotte Hornets (17-19) will play the Denver Nuggets (13-24) at Pepsi Center, in Denver, CO on Sunday.

The sky is falling in Charlotte right now. The Hornets got off to a fantastic start this season, but they're playing some horrendous basketball right now. Not only have they lost six-straight coming into this matchup, they've also gone 4-12 on the road this season. That six-game losing streak correlates with an injury to Nicolas Batum, who was playing at an All-Star level prior to his toe injury. He has now missed the last four games and what they are missing most is his elite defense. In fact, they are allowing about 109 points per game in that six-game losing streak. That's a stark contrast from the team that ranked in the top-10 in defense for the first month or so of the season.

Things haven’t been going much better for the Nuggets. They have also been bit by the injury bug and struggling mightily because of it. The good news is that Danilo Gallinari and Jusuf Nurkic both returned this week and rookie Emmanuel Mudiay is probable for this matchup. Considering they were without those three and Wilson Chandler, it's amazing they didn’t lose even more. Denver has still lost 10 of their last 12 and what is most concerning is their 5-11 home record. The Pepsi Center used to be a safe haven for this Nuggets team, but they simply aren’t using the altitude to their advantage anymore. This should be a close game though with both teams mightily struggling, as this spread is nearly dead-even.

Portland Trail Blazers (15-24) – OKC Thunder 3h - grand format (26-11)

The Oklahoma City Thunder (26-11) will take on the Portland Trail Blazers (15-24) at Moda Center in Portland, OR on Sunday.

The Thunder come into this game winning 15 of their last 18 games and playing some downright dominant offense. The three losses in that span came against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Chicago Bulls and the Sacramento Kings with no Kevin Durant in the lineup. That alone shows how good they have been and that has to be credited to the play of Russell Westbrook and Durant. Those two both rank in the top-four in the NBA in scoring and both regularly stuff the rebounding and assisting categories as well. It's simply amazing what these two can do on the floor together, but it's a bit concerning how much they struggle without one of them in the lineup. That will be the key this season, as they haven’t been to the playoffs with both of them fully healthy in quite some time.

The Blazers come into this game losing three-straight games and it comes at a strange time. Damian Lillard returned from a plantar fascia issue three games ago and while he's been playing well, the team has really struggled. What's even more bizarre is that they were hovering around .500 without Lillard in the lineup. The defense is the only major correlation, as they allowed under 100 points a game without him in the lineup and over 104 with him in the lineup. This should be another good test for their defense, as the Thunder are the number-two scoring offense in the NBA. Portland also comes into this game as an eight-point underdog in their home building.

L.A Lakers – Utah Jazz 3h30

The Utah Jazz (16-20) will play the Los Angeles Lakers (8-30) at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday.

The Jazz have been one of the most injury riddled teams in the NBA this season, but they appear to be getting healthy just at the right time. Derrick Favors is expected back any day now and Rudy Gobert returned for Utah's last two games. In their most recent game, the Jazz beat a tough Miami Heat team thanks to some elite defense. They held Miami to just 83 points and got a 34-point game from Gordon Hayward. It's amazing how right when Gobert returns, the defense goes back to one of the best in the NBA. In fact, they rank top-10 in defense without him in the lineup, but top-two with him starting. That's the key for this team, as they only rank 27h in points scored this season. Look for them to have a good chance to win here on the road, as they come into this matchup as a small favorite.

The Lakers record looks ugly, but they are playing much better ball as of late. While they come into this game losing three-straight, they won three-straight prior to that and have been hanging around in their losses. Most recently, they nearly beat an Oklahoma City Thunder team, who beat them by a combined 75 points in their first two matchups. They lost that game 117-113 and were hanging around all game, thanks to a career-high 44 points from Lou Williams. What's killed them in the three-game losing streak is the defense, as the Lakers have allowed an average of 115 points per game in that stretch. That's no surprise though, as the team ranks 29th in points allowed this season. This should be a good game for them to find some defensive form against one of the worst offenses in the NBA.
