The Atlanta Hawks (23-15) make a Wednesday night trip to Charlotte to face off against the reeling Hornets (17-20).
The Hawks are coming off an impressive 120-105 home win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night, holding onto first place in the Southeast Division with a one game lead over the second place Miami Heat. Al Horford had a huge night as the leading producer for Atlanta, dropping a season-best 33 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists while making 15 of 21 shots from the field. Paul Millsap added 18 points and 8 board of his own and Kyle Korver put up 13 points and 3 of 6 three-point attempts as the Hawks have regained some of the form that made them the number one seed coming out of the East last season. The team ranks third in the league in assists, averaging 25.5 per game, behind only Golden State and San Antonio. Jeff Teague, Dennis Schroder and Millsap combine to average 13.6 of those assists. The team plays eight of their next eleven games on the road, where they hold down a 10-8 record.
Charlotte is in a freefall and trying to figure out a way to right their ship after squandering a promising start to their season. The team is returning home from a four-game road trip with no wins under their belt and are suffering through a seven-game skid. Their latest defeat came on Sunday night in Denver as they were bested by the Nuggets, 95-92. Cody Zeller and Jeremy Lamb both had 15 points apiece to lead the Hornets in scoring, yet Lamb made only 1 of 5 shots from beyond the arc, indicative of his team's shooting woes all game. Charlotte shot 36.1% from the paint and 33.3% from long range in the loss, which sends them to the basement of the Southeast Division where they once threatened to reign over after a 10-5 November. Nicolas Batum returned to the starting lineup for Charlotte after a four-game absence with a sprained toe and put up 9 points. Batum is the second-leading scorer for the Hornets, averaging 16 points per contest.

The Milwaukee Bucks (16-24) and Washington Wizards (17-19) meet at Verizon Center on Wednesday night.
Milwaukee improved to 11-7 at home on Tuesday night with a win over visiting division rival Chicago, 106-101. Although currently sitting in a deep hole in last place in the Central Division, the Bucks have the opportunity to play spoiler heading into the midway point of the season, as evidenced by recent victories over the Mavericks and Pacers. All five Milwaukee starters posted double digits on Tuesday, with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the charge with 29 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 10-of-14 from the floor. Greg Monroe contributed his own double-double with 17 points and 12 boards in a game that saw the team make only 3 of 13 attempts from long range. Khris Middleton, who has been the team's leading scorer all season with an average of 16.9 points per contest, was true to form with 16 points in this outing.
The Wizards return home after a two-game road trip that saw them log impressive wins against the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls. Their 114-100 Monday night victory over the Bulls was their ninth win away from home this season and was highlighted by seven Wizards players scoring in double digits. John Wall recorded another double-double with 17 points and 10 assists, while Ramon Sessions came off the bench with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Wall is putting up 9.6 assists in Washington's 2015-16 campaign, second-best in the NBA behind Rajon Rondo. Drew Gooden had his own double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds as Washington prepares to contest seven of their next nine games at home where they are 8-11.

Barclays Center plays host to a Wednesday night battle of the boroughs as the New York Knicks (20-20) visit the Brooklyn Nets (10-28).
New York are riding a wave of momentum across town on Wednesday as they have won four of their last five games and are back up to a .500 record. They team showed pressure under duress in Tuesday night's victory over the Boston Celtics, 120-114, but may have paid a short-term price in an injury concern over their biggest star. Carmelo Anthony left the game after rolling his ankle, this after 7-for-10 shooting for 17 points in just 18 minutes played. Early indications are that Anthony suffered a sprain, with Derek Fisher stating that his status for the match-up with Brooklyn would not be known until shortly before tipoff. Kristaps Porzingis led the Knicks in scoring with 26 points, with 20 points in the first half alone, before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Rookie Jerian Grant had an impressive 16 points and 8 assists as New York comes into mid-season form in hopes of developing more team chemistry and a Playoff run after the All-Star break next month.
The Nets, meanwhile, have dropped five straight and are still putting the pieces back in place after firing Coach Lionel Hollins on Sunday and promising a marked shift in attitude and culture moving forward. What followed the next night was a 106-79 home court mugging at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs to fall to 6-14 at Barclays Center. The loss marked the tenth straight home defeat for the Nets. Brook Lopez shot 8-for-17 for a team best 18 points while Joe Johnson added 16 points going 6-of-7 from the paint. Johnson also provided Brooklyn their only two three-pointers of the evening, as the unit shot a paltry 16.7% from downtown. The team owns the worst three-point shooting percentage in the NBA, averaging 31.2% per match-up. They also lay claim to the second-worst offense in the league, averaging only 95.2 points per game. The team may want to find a winning home formula fast, as they play six of their next eight contests in Brooklyn, with visitors including the Heat, Thunder and Cavaliers.

- Brooklyn : Chris McCullough (genou), Jarrett Jack (genou) et Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (cheville)- New York : Cleanthony Early (genou)
New-York gagne @ 1.50

Andrew Wiggins led the way in the loss with 22 points (8-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-8 FT), five rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 35 minutes. December's Western Rookie of the Month Karl-Anthony Towns added 14 points (6-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, and an assist in 28 minutes. Nikola Pekovic sat the game out in order to rest and should be back in the lineup on Wednesday. The Timberwolves are 0-5 this season in the second game of back-to-back sets. 3h : Denver Nuggets (14-24) - Golden State Warriors (36-2)
The Golden State Warriors (34-2) will take on the Denver Nuggets (14-24) on Wednesday night at Pepsi Center.
The Warriors just keep rolling, as they have yet to lose in 2016. Their most recent victory came on Monday against the Heat 111-103. If it's any indication of how the Warriors' season is going, Stephen Curry had an "off" night shooting on Monday, scoring 31 points (11-27 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 5-6 FT), along with six assists, two rebounds, and a steal in 38 minutes. Draymond Green failed to reach a triple-double on Monday, only securing a double-double with 22 points (8-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-11 FT), 12 rebounds, six assists, and a steal in 36 minutes. Green is a likely candidate to sit out the Warriors back-to-back set that begins on Wednesday in order to rest. He has played in every game this season, averaging 35 minutes a contest. Veterans Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston may join Green on bench, but official decisions likely won't be made until after Wednesday morning's shootaround. The Warriors were close to dropping their third game of the season last time they played the Nuggets on Jan. 2, as they narrowly escaped in overtime 111-108.
The Nuggets had a six game losing streak in the works, but have now won two of their last three contests. Their most recent win was against the Hornets on Sunday by a score of 95-92. Danilo Gallinari posted 27 points (7-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 11-13 FT), six rebounds, one steal, and one block in 34 minutes. Rookie Emmanuel Mudiay returned to the court Sunday after missing 14 games with a sprained ankle. He contributed 11 points (5-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six assists, four rebounds, two steals, and a block in 39 minutes. Jameer Nelson, who missed Sunday's win with a hip flexor strain, should be able to return to the court on Wednesday. The Nuggets also signed Sean Kilpatrick to a 10-day contract on Tuesday. The guard has been playing exceptionally in the D-League for the Delaware 87ers, averaging 27.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.3 three-pointers, two assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 47.7 percent from the field over 22 games. The Nuggets are 0-3 against the Warriors this season, their last win coming on March 13, 2015.

Denver : Wilson Chandler (hanche)- Golden State : Kevon Looney (hanche)

The New Orleans Pelicans (11-26) will play the Sacramento Kings (15-22) at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, CA on Wednesday.
The Pelicans are easily one of the disappointments of the season. What's been plaguing them all season is their road woes, as they are just 4-17 on the road. New Orleans had to play their last game without Anthony Davis, who is yet again injured after diving into the stands for a ball. That's a major issue with this team, as Davis misses far too many games with nicks and bruises that some may consider soft. Nobody will doubt that he's one of the most talented players in the league, but the Pelicans need him on the floor if they are to be successful. In any case, this team should still win games with the likes of Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans and Ryan Anderson, but they simply don’t. In fact, that Lakers loss on Tuesday gave them an 0-5 record without Davis in the starting-five.
The Kings are playing their final season in the Sleep Train Arena and making good use of it. They are 10-10 in their home arena, which is a major contrast from their 5-12 road record. The team has also been playing better recently, as they are 8-7 over their last 15 games. Much of that has to be credited to DeMarcus Cousins, who is the leading scorer since the beginning of 2016. If this team wants to make the next step and an unlikely playoff birth, they'll have to clean things up on the defensive end. In fact, they rank dead-last in points allowed, allowing just shy of 110 points per game. That will make this game a fun one to watch, as both defenses are downright bad both ranking in the bottom-three in the NBA. Look for both teams to surpass 100 points easily, with the Kings coming into this matchup as a small favorite.

- Sacramento : Eric Moreland (pied)- New Orleans : (Davis ??) Quincy Pondexter (genou)
Sacramento gagne de 8 ou + 1.70

4h30 : Los Angeles Clippers (25-13) - Miami Heat (22-16)
The Miami Heat (22-16) will take on the Los Angeles Clippers (25-13) at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday.
Miami is in the beginning of an extended road stretch and things haven’t been going great thus far. The Heat come into this game losing three of their last four and the problem has been the offense. They now rank 25th in scoring and get very little offensive production outside of Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. In fact, no other player is averaging more than 12 points a game. The bench is especially bad, as Gerald Green is the only bench player to average more than nine points a game. What's even worse is that the second-leading scorer off the bench is Mario Chalmers, who isn’t even on the team anymore. In Miami's last game, they held around with the unstoppable Golden State Warriors, thanks to double-doubles from Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. They had to play that game without Hassan Whiteside and he comes into this game questionable with a knee injury. If the Heat want a chance to win here against this hot Clippers team, they'll need more play like that from their veteran studs.
Los Angeles is one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now and it's coming at a bizarre time. They have now won nine-straight games, with all the wins coming without All-Star Blake Griffin. That has given DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul more responsibilities and they are clearly capitalizing on them. The offense has been incredible lately, as they have scored at least 109 points in six of their last nine games. The reason for the scoring surge is the small-ball the Clippers are playing. It has allowed them to get up and down the floor much more and open up the offense. It will be interesting to see if they can do that here against the Heat, who are one of the three-slowest teams in the NBA based on pace. Look for Los Angeles to come into this game as projected six-point favorites.

Los Angeles : Blake Griffin (quadriceps)- Miami : Josh McRoberts (genou)
