01h30: New York Knicks - Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons (17-14) face the host New York Knicks (14-18) at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.

The Pistons have lost two in a row, and are much worse when they play away from the Palace. Big man Andre Drummond is coming off of a 22 point, 22 rebound game in a loss to Celtics on Saturday. Drummond will be a big factor in how well the Pistons compete with the Knicks, as he will likely match up with Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis. With the three days of rest coming into this game, they will be quite fresh.

The Knicks are facing a four-game skid in which they have not been able to score more than 99 points. They will look to avoid their fifth loss against the Pistons on Tuesday by looking to better their defense. In rim protection, the rookie Porzingis is averaging two blocks per game, and on the perimeter, José Calderon and Carmelo Anthony are averaging 0.9 steals per game, but they may need to up the effort to create turnovers in order to face a fresher Pistons squad.

02h00: Oklahoma City Thunder - Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks (12-20) play the host Oklahoma City Thunder (21-10) at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Tuesday.

The Bucks have been one of the disappointments in the NBA and their road record has much to do with that futility. They are now 3-14 on the road after their loss on Monday and it's hard to find a sliver lining. The team ranks 27th in points allowed this season and ranks dead-last in the NBA in rebounding. That's a recipe for disaster and it's hard to see that getting better against a Thunder team that ranks second in rebounding. In fact, Oklahoma City comes into this game as a double-digit favorite.

The Thunder have won 10 of their last 12 games and are scoring at will. Oklahoma City ranks second in the NBA in scoring right now and have been stepping up the defense as well. Through the first two weeks this team ranked in the bottom-five in defense, but have taken major strides since. In fact, they now rank 11th in points allowed and have been one of the five best defenses in the NBA over their last 20 games. It's not too often that there are two legitimate MVP candidates on one team, but Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are both building legitimate resumes for that coveted award.

Milwaukee: John Henson, Greivis Vasquez

Oklahoma:Dion Waiters

02h00: Memphis Grizzlies - Miami Heat

The Miami Heat (18-12) take on the host Memphis Grizzlies (17-16) at the FedEx Forum on Tuesday.

Miami has been living off their elite defense all season, but they are hitting a bit of a wall as of late. In fact, they have allowed at least 97 points in nine of their last 12 games. That's some regression after ranking in the top-three in nearly every significant defensive statistic to start the season. They still do rank second in points allowed, but they need to clean up the recent slide to succeed the way they want to play. The Heat are also coming off a terrible home loss on Monday, in which they lost to a eight-win Brooklyn team while allowing 111 points. Dwyane Wade, Goran Dragic and Chris Bosh all seem to be finding their form though and it will be a scary sight for the rest of the NBA when all three of these All-Star players are gelling at top levels.

This Memphis team is not the old grindhouse club that most are familiar with and they have been playing .500 ball for the majority of the season. The once stifling defense is not as good as in years past, as they rank 12th in points allowed this season. The more concerning factor of this team is the offense though, as they rank 28th in points scored. What's even more surprising than that is that the Grizzlies rank 27th in rebounding. This once stud frontcourt has not been playing up to the level that was expected and it's a bit of a surprise that Zach Randolph is still coming off the bench with the rebounding issues.

Memphis : Matt Barnes , Jordan Adams, Brandan Wright

Miami : Chris Andersen, Josh McRoberts

02h00: Houston Rockets - Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks (20-13) face the host Houston Rockets (16-16) at Toyota Center on Tuesday.

The Hawks are rumbling into their second night of back-to-back games, in which they lost the first against the Pacers. Like many teams in the NBA, the Hawks do not play as well as they do at home, going 8-7, as compared to 12-6 when they play at home. Paul Millsap had the hot hand during Monday's game, with 24 points, seven boards, and four steals on the night. Millsap has stepped up his scoring recently, but his rebounding numbers have been down for the last four games, as he has not reached double digits in that category. With Tiago Splitter still out with a calf injury, Mike Muscala and Walter Tavares will continue to assume most of the backup minutes behind starting center Al Horford.

The Rockets will come in considerably fresher than the Hawks, having had three days of rest between games. They have had their ups and downs this season, but right now they seem to be on the up-and-up, winning four of their last six games. Forward Terrence Jones is doubtful for the game due to an illness, and if he does not play, it's likely that Clint Capela's role, as well as Donatas Motiejunas roles would both increase in his absence. James Harden is likely to be the biggest problem for the Hawks, as he's averaging 28.4 points per game, and has been the highest scorer in the past four games for the Rockets.

03h00: Denver Nuggets - Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers (20-9) play the host Denver Nuggets (12-19) at Pepsi Center on Tuesday.

Cleveland have been struggling a bit as of late and their road record is simply not good enough for a finals contender. The Cavaliers are now 7-8 on the road this season after barely beating the Phoenix Suns on Monday. The most important part of that close win is that Kyrie Irving dropped a season-high 22 points and looked more like himself than any of his three previous games. Cleveland also benched Timofey Mozgov and moved Tristan Thompson into the starting-five in that win. This is another good chance to get that road record back to .500, as they come into this matchup as a projected seven-point favorite. Cleveland will also likely rest Irving here to keep in fresh in a back-to-back set.

The Nuggets have lost five of their last six games and the injuries are brutal right now. The team has lost five starters throughout the season and are playing without their go-to offensive weapon. Danilo Gallinari was playing inspiring basketball for the first month or so of the season, but has missed the last week with an ankle injury. He's not expected to play here either and this team is really struggling to find a go-to player at the end of close games. The defense has been a bigger issue lately though, as they are allowing 112 points per game in their last five games. Look for the Nuggets to come out hard here in one of their biggest home games of the season.
